Pro-Tier Ergonomics. Accessible Comfort.

The design highlight of the Zipp Service Course 70 Ergo Handlebar is its contoured, flattened top section. By transitioning from a standard 31.8mm clamp diameter into an ergonomically shaped top section, it distributes pressure more evenly across your palms, eliminating hand numbness on long climbs. Paired with a compact 70mm reach and 128mm drop, this bar brings the shift/brake levers closer to your hands, making it easier to transition between the tops, hoods, and drops without overextending your back or shoulders.

Why the Service Course 70 Ergo Belongs on Your Bike:

  • Ergonomic Flattened Tops: The specialized ovalized top tube fits naturally into the curve of your palm, providing exceptional comfort during long, seated climbing efforts.

  • Compact 70mm Reach & 128mm Drop: Brings the hoods closer for a comfortable, relaxed upper-body stance while keeping the drops easily accessible for high-speed descending and sprinting.

  • 4° Outward Sweep & 10° Ramp Angle: Angled to create a smooth, flat transition from the handlebar tops straight onto your brake hoods, preventing wrist fatigue and pressure spots.

  • Robust 6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy: Crafted from high-strength double-butted aluminum, offering excellent structural rigidity for sprinting out of corners while dampening high-frequency road buzz.

  • Clip-On Bar Compatible: Designed with a wide 31.8mm center section that easily accepts clip-on aero bars, computer mounts, or light brackets (available on widths 40cm and wider).

The Alegro Perspective: In the workshop, the Service Course 70 Ergo is one of our all-time favorite alloy handlebars to spec during bike-fit overhauls. Many stock bike bars feature long reaches that force riders to overstretch, resulting in neck, shoulder, and palm pain. The 70mm short-reach geometry of this Zipp bar completely transforms your position, bringing the levers into a natural, confident reach. The flat top profile is exceptionally comfortable for long climbs, and the 6061 aluminum construction means it can handle real-world wear and tear with zero fuss.
