Shipping policy

At Alegro Cycles, we are committed to ensuring your new machine or essential gear arrives quickly, safely, and ready for your next pursuit of better. We treat the shipping process as the final leg of your purchase journey, handling it with the same precision we apply to our bike builds.

1. Processing and Handling Time

Order Processing: All orders are processed and prepared for shipment within 1-3 business days (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays).
Bicycle Shipments: Due to the necessary level of inspection, professional packing, and assembly required to ensure safe transport, all complete bicycle orders may require an extended processing time of 3-5 business days.
Order Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation containing your order details immediately after purchase. A second email with tracking information will be sent when your item is shipped.

2. Shipping Rates and Delivery Estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

Note: Delivery times are estimates and start from the moment the shipment leaves our facility.

3. Shipping Options & Costs

A. Free Shipping (For the Enthusiast)

We offer Free Standard Shipping on all orders of $100CAD or more (excluding oversized, or overweight items, which have specialized freight costs).

B. Complete Bicycle Shipping

Due to the size, weight, and necessity of specialized packaging, a flat rate for freight shipping will be applied at checkout. All complete bicycles ship requiring minor final assembly (see Section 4).

C. Local Pickup (Click & Collect)

For customers in our local area, we encourage you to use our Free Click & Collect service at checkout. Orders can typically be picked up at our shop during business hours within 24H of receiving your "Ready for Pickup" email notification.

4. Bicycle Assembly and Delivery

To ensure your bike arrives safely, all complete bicycles are shipped in a partially disassembled state.

Professional Packing: Your bike is carefully packed to minimize the risk of damage during transport.
Final Assembly Required: You will need to install the front wheel, handlebars, seat post, and pedals. We strongly recommend having this final assembly and safety check performed by a certified bicycle mechanic to ensure peak performance and safety. (We offer free post-shipment final adjustments if you bring the bike to the shop.)

5. Damages, Loss, and International Shipping

Damages: Alegro Cycles is not liable for products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipping carrier immediately to file a claim. Please also notify us so we can assist.
International Shipping: At this time, we only ship to addresses within Canada. We are actively working to expand our reach to cyclists globally.
