The Wheels Mfg. PF30 Outboard is CNC-machined in Colorado from high-grade 6061 aluminum. This bottom bracket allows you to run Hollowtech II or GXP spindles in a PF30 frame without the need for clunky, unreliable adapters. By moving the bearings outside the frame shell (outboard), it increases the stiffness of your drivetrain and allows for larger, more durable bearings.

Why the Outboard Thread-Together is an Essential Upgrade:

• Patented Thread-Together Design: The two halves of the BB thread into each other. This effectively "clamps" the frame, ensuring the bearings are perfectly parallel. This eliminates the "walking" and creaking common with traditional press-fit cups.

• Precision CNC-Machined Aluminum: Unlike the plastic cups found on entry-level units, these shells won't deform under load, ensuring your bearings stay seated perfectly for thousands of miles.

• Superior Weather Sealing: Features specialized silicone seals and a robust internal sleeve that protects your bearings from water and grit entering through the seat tube or down tube.
