Sram Self Extracting Bolt (DUB)
Precision Torque.
The Sram DUB Self-Extracting Bolt is a two-part system: a high-tensile steel M18/M30 inner bolt and a threaded outer extracting cap. When you loosen the inner bolt, it backs out against the outer cap, effectively "pushing" the crank arm off the spindle. It is the factory-original replacement part to ensure your high-end XX1, X01, GX, or any Rival, Force or Red DUB cranks remain serviceable and secure.
Why the DUB Self-Extractor is a Toolbox Essential:
-
No Special Tools Required: Forget the specialized crank pullers of the past. This system turns a standard 8mm Allen wrench into a powerful extraction tool, perfect for trail-side repairs or travel.
-
Integrated Self-Extraction: The outer cap acts as a "wall" for the inner bolt to push against. As you turn the bolt counter-clockwise, the crank arm is safely and evenly pressed off the spindle.
-
High-Strength Alloy Construction: Engineered to handle the high torque loads (54Nm) required to keep your cranks rock-solid during explosive sprints and technical descents.
-
Complete Assembly: This kit includes the main crank bolt, the self-extracting outer cap, and the specialized friction washer to ensure smooth operation and prevent "creaking" under load.
-
Laser-Etched Torque Specs: Features clear, permanent markings for rotation direction and torque settings, ensuring you never over-tighten or strip your hardware.
-
Universal DUB Compatibility: Fits the entire range of Sram DUB cranksets across MTB, Road, and Gravel disciplines.

The Alegro Perspective: These have been known to shake loose and get lost on the road or trails. It's not super common, but common enough that we feel the need to keep one or two in stock at all times.
