Challenge Baby Limus Pro (Clincher)

$120.00 CAD

All-Condition Versatility. Supple Open-Casing Speed.

The engineering highlight of the Challenge Baby Limus Pro Clincher is its hybrid tread architecture paired with a handmade 300 TPI SuperPoly casing. Featuring lower-profile, closely spaced center knobs taken from the fast-rolling Grifo and tall, deeply siped shoulder knobs inherited from the heavy-mud Limus, it allows you to carry maximum speed down the straights while leaning hard into greasy, off-camber corners. Built as an open tubular, the high-TPI casing deforms fluidly over terrain to maximize your contact patch without needing a glued tubular setup.

Why the Challenge Baby Limus Clincher Belongs on Your Wheelset:

  • Hybrid Mud/Speed Tread Design: Low-profile center knobs reduce rolling resistance on flat pavement and hardpack sectors, while aggressive side knobs dig deep into slick mud and wet grass.

  • Handmade 300 TPI SuperPoly Casing: Offers unmatched open-tubular suppleness, absorbing trail chatter and conforming to uneven ground for superior cornering confidence.

  • Puncture Protection System (PPS): Features a specialized high-density fabric strip layered between the tread and casing to protect against sharp gravel, thorns, and pinch flats.

  • Self-Cleaning Tread Spacing: Open knob layout sheds sticky clay and thick mud effortlessly, preventing tire loading and weight buildup during sloppy races.

  • Open-Tubular Installation Convenience: Mounts directly onto standard clincher rims with inner tubes, allowing for effortless roadside tube replacements and quick tire swaps between race heats.

The Alegro Perspective: Course conditions rarely stay 100% dry or 100% thick mud. The Baby Limus is easily our most recommended tire for those tricky, transition-weather race days. Full mud tires like the standard Limus can feel draggy and slow on paved start/finish straights, but the Baby Limus rolls almost as fast as a Grifo while giving you all the cornering bite you need when you plunge into a slick, off-camber dirt bowl.
