The Avid FR-5 is a "Direct Pull" lever, meaning it is perfectly tuned to work with both Linear Pull (V-Brakes) and Mechanical Disc Brakes. Forged from high-grade aluminum, these levers provide a stiff, flex-free interface that ensures every millimeter of lever pull translates into actual stopping power. Its symmetrical design is also "ambidextrous," meaning you can flip the levers to work on either the left or right side of your bar.
